1978年生まれ。長野県長野市出身。日本のフードファイター兼実業家。フードファイティングの世界で圧倒的な食べる速さと量を誇り、数々のギネス世界記録を保持。特にアメリカの独立記念日に開催される『ネイサンズ国際ホットドッグ早食い選手権』で6連覇を果たし、「伝説のフードファイター」として称されるほどの実力を示した。現在も競技を続けながら、フードファイティングのスポーツ化と普及に尽力しながら、日本国内外でのテレビ出演やイベント参加を通じて、新たな食文化の創造に貢献している。

Born in 1978 in Nagano City, Japan, Takeru Kobayashi is a Japanese competitive eater and entrepreneur. Renowned for his overwhelming speed and capacity in competitive eating, he holds numerous Guinness World Records. He notably achieved six consecutive victories at the Nathan's International Hot Dog Eating Contest held annually on America's Independence Day, which earned him widespread recognition as a "legendary food fighter." Kobayashi continues to compete actively while dedicating himself to promoting the sport of competitive eating and its global popularity.
